The Procedure

The procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia and mild sedation. 1 small incisions 2 mm wide are done under your chin, fluids are injected in addition to the local anesthetic to ease fat suction. Vaser is used to dissolve the fat and also to stimulate collagen for the skin tightening. Small cannulas specially designed for neck and face are used by Dr Mohamed Ashraf. The procedure takes from 30-45.

Recovery

The patient can go home immediately after the procedure.  You’ll be instructed to wear a neck band (compression garment) for 7-10 days. Slight bruising and swelling may be present initially.

Final results may take around 1-3 months after the procedure for all the swelling to go down.

Double chin lipo is a cosmetic procedure with an extremely rare complications and drawbacks. Yet like any surgical procedures complications may happen like’

Is double chin liposuction same as neck liposuction?

Yes, neck and double chin liposuction are the same. Both target the area beneath the chin by removing the excess fat from the entire neck area, including the jawline and under the chin, giving your face the chiseled profile.

What happens to the excess skin?

If skin excess is limited after removing the fat tightening modalities like Vaser are usually enough to give you the desired look. But if there is much of skin excess you may be a candidate for a neck lift procedure and skin trimming.
